Fund Forward ("Fund.Fwd," "we," "our," or "us") is operated by Venture for T.H.E.M., LLC and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and mobile applications (together, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as:

  • Account information (name and email address, and sign-in details handled by Clerk)
  • Profile information (such as your display name, photo, phone number, date of birth, the type of user you are, and a short description)
  • Payment and subscription information (your plan, status, billing dates, and transaction identifiers). Card details are processed by Stripe, Apple, or Google, and we do not store full card numbers
  • Content you submit (funding proposals, Business Board listings, logos and photos, and messages to VentureAI)
  • Messages you send to our support team

If you sign in with a third-party account such as Google or Apple, we receive basic details from that provider, such as your name and email address.

We also collect some information automatically when you use the Service:

  • Device and browser type and operating system
  • Usage data, such as the opportunities you view or save and the searches you run
  • A notification identifier, if you turn on notifications in the app

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember choices such as your light or dark theme. Clerk sets the cookies needed for sign-in.

Embedded content from YouTube and EmbedSocial may set its own cookies when it loads or plays. We do not use advertising cookies on our website.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Process transactions and subscriptions
  • Personalize your experience and show you relevant funding opportunities
  • Generate VentureAI replies and show you your conversation history
  • Review content you submit, such as funding proposals and Business Board listings
  • Send you updates and marketing communications
  • Respond to support requests
  • Improve our services
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: with the companies listed in this policy, who perform services on our behalf
  • Public content: Business Board listings you submit are visible to other people once approved
  • Legal requirements: when required by law or to respond to legal process
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • Consent: with your explicit consent

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Clerk: Sign-in and account security
  • Supabase: Database, file storage and backend services
  • Stripe: Payments made on the website
  • RevenueCat: Managing subscriptions bought in the iOS and Android apps
  • Apple App Store and Google Play: Processing purchases made in the apps
  • Google Gemini: Generating VentureAI replies from the messages you send
  • OneSignal: Sending app notifications
  • Resend: Delivering email
  • YouTube: Hosting embedded videos
  • EmbedSocial: Showing our social media feed

These services have their own privacy policies governing use of your information.

6. VentureAI

Messages you send to VentureAI are stored with your account and sent to Google Gemini to generate a reply. Please do not include passwords, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information in your messages.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications

To make a request, email privacy@venture4them.com. You can manage a website subscription from your account, and a subscription bought in an app from your App Store or Google Play settings.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country.

12. California Privacy Rights

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold, and the right to request deletion of personal information.

13. Apple App Store Notice

When you subscribe through the Apple App Store, Apple's privacy policy also applies to the transaction. You can manage your subscriptions and privacy settings through your Apple account settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
